staying friends with an ex-yes or no?

Postby Beautiful Disaster 12 days, 2 hours ago

hey guys! boredom is gettin to me so i decided to post a new topic...about staying friends with an ex. do you think its possible? are thier limitations on this friendship? do they last? do they get back together? or is it just prolonging the "healing process" of ending one relationship before begianing another?

lets say ending your relationship was a mutual agreement between both of you-even though the feelings were still there for both people. do you think its a good idea to still be friends then?

As Alan said, it does depend on the circumstance, but all in all its fine to stay with friends. I was friends for a while with one of my ex's and then after we broke up things were tense and awkward for a while, but we realized there was no point in wasting a good friendship.

Probably not a good idea especially if
A: the former connection was a really strong one
B: you are in a new healthy relationship that you enjoy and want to keep

Those old flames are quite easy to be rekindled/reignited... :?

for a select few it works, not for me. Time to move on. Funny though, still have had sex with the exs. when IM not seeing anyone.

true alan....

i think as long as you both have mutual respect and understanding of boundaries when one of you are in a relationship there is no sense in letting a great friend go-they are hard to come by lol

and jason....

i agree it works for some-not all

the sex thing- still carry my v-card so there's no problem with that lol
