Is there anybody else out there who is married and is looking for friendship or something else? I'm married, not the best or most satisfying marriage, but married and am looking to meet people. I'm a very sociable person and live in a small town. I love talking to people and getting to know them. I can't be the only one, am I?

Thanks! I appreciate you replying. I'm trying to figure out when other people have unknown as a status if that means they are married, too. I don't know what else that can mean, except maybe they are in a relationship dating, but no committment. What do you think? I also don't want to be on FreeHookup if I'm going to offend a lot of people. I also don't see a harm in meeting new people either. An escape from reality is a good description.

I think that when people put their status as unknown it usually means either they are single but have a prime candidate for a spouse already, or that they are in a relationship looking for more. Honestly people that put unknown or "its complicated" as their relationsip status worry me and a lot of times its a sign saying "I don't know what I want" or that "I'm a cheater" , so sometimes it's better to just stay away from the person.

I started dating a girl about a month ago who had her status as "its complicated" well she ended up telling me that she's married but split up, and I thought ok I can handle that and we continued dating....but just recently I found out that her and her husband got things worked out, so it just left me hanging there feeling terrible.

I'm sorry what you went through previously. I find it interesting you think "unknown" is "I don't know what I want" or "I'm a cheater". I posted I'm married and what I'm looking for, friendship. I find it kinda hard to cheat online personally. So many people are out of state. That makes it easier to meet ppl just to talk. For me anyway. I like how honest, sometimes brutal LOL, you are.

Well thank you Carey, and I don't think that EVERYONE online is a cheater...or that they are confused...but I've been surfing these chatrooms since I was 15 years old, it's become quite a hobby of mine, and I'm here to tell you, people online hold nothing back. I've talked to so many women (and I know men are the same way) that will lie to you, saying they are single then after you get comfortable talking to them find out they are married. I know I would be very upset if my spouse was flirting with other men online, and talking to them on the phone(which happends a lot). So it is very possible to cheat online, even though it may not be physical. This may be the reason that I come off as being so harsh at times, people on the internet are willing to do anything to get their way because gives them a feeling of invincibility since you are so far away from the person. Like you can get away with anything.

When people have on their set as unknown in relationship status i stay away because thats a sign for me that this person is in a relationship and looking for more and i don´t want to be the 3rd wheel in that relationship.

You are so right.
I have experienced just the same as you.
Been online for so long and gotten hurt so many times.
And now a days men and women are talking intimate with more than one or two women/men and to be honest it doesn´t show me much loyality....it freeks me out and shows me this person wouldn´t make a very loyal partner.
I got to admit seeing what i see online makes me wonder if i´ll be single for ever and ever.

Thanks Elma and Eric. I like hearing your input. I don't think there's a good way or place anymore to find someone. Again, I'm not looking. I like talking just like this. I never blogged before, except for nursing classes and that's stricly with your classmates. This is all new, you never know how ppl will respond to you. I'm glad ya'll are honest. I wish you both the best of luck in finding someone. I've enjoyed chatting with you both.
