Is it too hard?

Is it too hard to ask to be told when you can't finish something? To me, if you make a promise, you keep it. If something comes up where you can't go through with it or it gets delayed, just tell me! I've run into girls that do this as well but men seem to try to hold out their 'pride' as a reason for not explaining it.

So why not just say something?

I never make a promise I can't keep.
I can't predict or control life, but if things happen that are unavoidable, I have taken personal beatings in order to complete a promise I made to someone.

If I ever had to break an agreement or promise, I would tell them exactly what's happening, and assure them that in the future they will hear from me again.

Just check my profile, the first testimonial tells of my roommate. Remember, I was married at the time, yet still seperated myself to finish a pormise I had made to him. I said, "if you need help, I promise I'll be there for you."
I don't understand why some guys flake out on commitments, and then hide their failure.. I find it rewarding to sometimes sacrifice what you want to achieve a promise made to someone else. Being a positive impact on humanity is more of a reward than being selfish. Being dependable is a rare and underestimated quality.
