I hope that I am better than most.
Hey guys, I know that I am no beauty queen. I know that I am over-weight and am tall for a girl. Both things that some guys may not want in a companion.
I know that there are probably thousands of women out there that out shine me in lappearance.
Now, I think that I am OK. I think that I am better than the dangerously over-weight women that take up more than one seat on a bus and can't go on amusement park rides.
I am better than the poor souls that have severe skin problems on their faces.
I am better than those that say they do nothing but party in their stories(in fact I don't 'party' at all)
What kind of man would really be attracted to me.
What should I expect?
I really want someone whos lifestyle is better than my but still as 'good' as I try to be.
How long should I do this FreeHookup thing?
I am thinking I will cancel my profile if I don't find a good match in about two, maybe three months.
Otherwise the frustrating of searching and waiting will drive me nuts if I think there is no end in site.

I had a look on your profile, you're not that over weight by the looks of the pics. You look like someone who has a large bone structure because of your height. A few months of exercise will probably all you need if you are really conscious of it. Never think that you are too tall for a girl there a lot of us tall guys who really go for tall ladies! make the most of that!
Be yourself!!! being on this forum and joining in really helps, people get to know you more if you join in the threads, there are a few who are now meeting up who have not paid any subscriptions. Good luck

I have heard this probably thousands of times in my life!!!

Even when I was 50 pounds lighter than I am now.

My sisters are about the same height as me and both are more than 60 pounds lighter than me.
I try exercise, eating right, nothing much changes my body nowadays.

Thanks for the compliment anyways. To tell you the truth, I am totally sucking in the belly in those pics.
I do plan on trying to lose weight, just as I have for the last three years and have not lost very much, not gained any either, so I guess that's alright...

Re: I hope that I am better than most.
Personally love, I don't think you should be worried about your weight. If someone's rejecting you because of something as shallow as that, sod them. They don't deserve what you have inside.
As far as what kind of guy should you expect? Who knows? What kind of guy do you want? I see no reason why you should trade in your wants and needs and lower the bar you've set. There'll be some guy out there looking for a woman like you and he just hasn't happened upon you just yet.
The best advice I can give you is, if you want more interest and increased options from a site like this, you have to throw a little effort it's way too. Be conversational and ask questions on your respective forum, be a bit crazy and don't make it all about love - yes that's your goal, but talking about nothing but love puts pressure on you that you don't need. If you want some ideas about random thread topics, nip over to the UK Forum, it's the busiest on this site by a long way, because people keep posting new things to encourage a little chatter between posters. Yes, it's largely the same crowd, but there's always a warm welcome for new comers, and that's what you need to get going. You write very well and make your points clear, so there's no reason you can't make the most out of this.
Lastly, be patient, because men don't grow on trees (contrary to popular belief). The right guy for you is out there somewhere, but you need to put yourself in the window with neon signs and sparkly decorations because we're not the brightest at knowing what we want and whats good for us.

Thanks.. But I wouldn't call it sweet as much as realist.
Seriously though, you have no reason to let your confidence or your standards drop. Keep plugging away for the guy that you want and keep on posting, because that'll highlight you more and increase your chances.
Good luck to you, Cindy!
