I Agree she is a left wing extremist, I believe dangerous(I hear she has explosives and is planning to blow up a Local Strip bar as she believe it exploits women)

Your point of weight being something that can be done about is true, however the fact that the woman in question is fine with her weight and its you suggesting that there is a problem means your antagonising a situation and forcing your opinion on her in a negative light, only made worse by defending yourself and not apologising for making a stupid statement in the first place.
Now, if truth be known, a haircut fitting Superman and a pooch the same as my elderly Grandmother would own sitting almost as tall as you in your picture is not exactly fetching.
WOW! I missed a lot, and to tell you the truth, I am feeling a bit... guilty?? I'm really not that upset about the negative comment (which Lozzy explained beautifully above) because people in America generally hate you if you aren't a size 12 or smaller. I'm used to people assuming I am unhappy with my weight, so I just chalked his comment up to insecurity on his end or arrogance. Either way, maybe we can all call a truce and be nice to one another again? Name calling never got anyone anywhere... it only makes everyone look bad. Seriously, I appreciate all the support, but it's not that big of a deal. I could care less what someone who is miles away says or thinks about me or the comment I originally made. Enough is enough.

If its any consolation, your a very beautiful young lady, and your interests suit me perfectly, if it wasn't for the 4500 miles between us i'd ask you out
P.S. i don't know about other men, but a generous figure is what its all about... ive been out with 1 rake in my life and it was not nearly as fruity as a girl you can sink you teeth into![]()
Damn those oceans...

and you have an accent to!!! Well, an accent to me. But I'd have an accent to you.
You know what I mean.

Wow! Just checking back to see how this discussion is progressing and I find myself in a warzone!!!

I personally think all involved in this 'runaway feud-in-the-making' should acknowledge the diplomatic gesture Mikki has offered here and make the choice to avoid any further unpleasantness - after all we're strangers on this forum and (regardless of the exchange of a few heated posts) really not familiar enough with each other to make truly informed assumptions about each others' character.
It's so easy for these things to blow out of proportion and quickly become personal, and it would be a shame if a thread addressing a perfectly legitimate question lost its focus here.
I hope you agree

Right on, there is no need to call people retards, morons, or midgets! This focus was never intended to start labeling anyone in a specific matter, but unfortunately a few misinterpreted my analogy

Personally, I interpret Jason's words as simply meaning that although an individual (if so inclined to strive toward society's fickle predilections) can exert a certain measure of control upon their weight through their choice of exercise, diet or surgery. The extent to which a person's height can be altered (through surgery, corrective posture or use of growth hormone) is likely to be significantly more limited. Of course our genetics vary from person to person and although most people cannot necessarily transform their weight from one extreme to another, the shorter-statured man is largely limited to making his 'transformation' mentally in how he perceives himself in society and how he strives to be perceived (which is something people can also opt to do with regard to their weight, though in both cases this doesn't necessarily have any immediate bearing on society's perception of them!).
(Note: He has used very general words such as 'can' as opposed to 'should', which suggests he is only affirming that there is a level of flexibility available to Mikki, and indeed anyone else for that matter. He also uses the word 'change', not 'increase' or 'decrease' - which in my eyes allays much of the stigma people have associated with this comment, as it isn't innately judgemental or derogatory and doesn't suggest that a specific change should be made either way, it is simply a neutral observation which is probably meant generally, that unfortunately has lent itself to misinterpretation in this instance)
I certainly don't think there was any malicious intent at play, and I believe Jason's subsequent defence of his comment was purely with regard to this general point he was trying to make, and not with regard to any unintended insult toward Mikki that was unfortunately interpreted.
I'm sure Jason will correct me if I have myself misinterpreted his words too!

Correct, no insult to Mikki, unfortunately someone misinterpreted what I said and caused a "snowball effect" of sensitivity. And yes, you are a pretty woman Mikki!
