Re: tattoos
Not really into tatoos myself. Not pierced anywhere (though I have toyed with the idea of a piercing in the nether regions. kinda scary!). Anyway, while I don't particularly care for them, every major relationship I have ever been in, the woman has had at least one. So it's not a deal breaker by any means. Tasteful is better than tacky, that's for sure.
Leaving your body unmarked shows respect for it. Or chicken-shitness. One of those.
Truthfully, I don't feel like any good can come from it. When it matters, you can only be judged negatively for it.

Re: tattoos
They're awesome
I got my first two weeks ago...been waiting for 35 years to find the right one with the meaning of life. Like anything else (pro/con, yin/yang, good/bad, happy/sad, the glass is half empty/full, you get the picture), a tattoo has two meanings.
Mine is simple:
a red rose symbolizes “LOVE”…a snake is self explanatory – so this could represent my “snake bit love life”
,
on the other hand a snake could symbolize medicine and put together with a red rose, it would mean “Love is the best medicine”

No, I don't like tattoos on either sex. I don't care how old or how fit you are. Never been an attraction for me.

So if you don't know he has a tat , get on really well with him... fall in love with him, would you accept it or dump him because of it?

Love ur taste in music, esp. David Arkenstone...anyway...back to those things decorated on the bod...well, if I met him post-tattoo, I love the whole package, including tattoos. Not a choice. If I met him pre-tattoo, I would discourage him from getting one. If I was a SO in his life. Tattoos are not the criteria for important battles in a relationship. But I do hope my POV would be seriously considered out of respect for me.

Re: tattoos
I personally love tattoos. I don't care if I think your tattoos are stupid, horribly placed or just down right ugly. It's not my place to judge what you chose to have permanently inked on your body. I have tats and I am sure someone would think they were incredibly lame, but honestly, I don't care. I will admit that I have a couple of tattoos that are just silly. But I can't find it in me to regret getting them. I wanted them when I got them and I was happy after they were done. Every time I look at them I am reminded of the happiness I felt. How can someone regret that?
So the next time you think about bashing someone's tattoo, just remember that you'd be wasting your time. Most of us with tattoos don't give a flying fuck what you have to say about them. We love them enough so you don't have to. haha
Also, I think it's pretty shallow of a person not to accept someone because of their body art. It shows a lack of open mindedness and immaturity. It's just a body people! Who cares how it's decorated? It's the soul inside of it that counts.

Re: tattoos
I don't like the tattoos and piercing.
But as someone said, like or dislike depends on where are you coming from. I'm European. In Europe the tattoos were used in the past (until the XIX century) to mark the criminals. All the people sent in jail were marked with special tattoos. Also the tattoos and piercing have been many years used to mark the animals. Now, in our times many Europeans got them but it's still early to speak about a tattoos culture in Europe.
For many people, they still remain a symbol of decadency.
So, don't try to impress an European with your tattoos or piercing. The chances to succeed in are very, very limited.
If you have them, hide them for moment. Don't start with the left.
