Lying about your age...

Postby Jim on Fri Mar 27, 2009 11:24 am

I think if you have good recent pic, lying about your age online is not really a big issue. But I think the truth should be told when meeting... Age is just a number after all... ?

Why would you lie at all. Even on line? What is the point of lying?

I'm looking to meet women close to the age I've posted on my profile... If I posted 98 I'm sure I wouldn't be found:)

besides I don't put a a lot of faith in dating sites, I have a better chance of meeting someone through mutual friends.

P.S. even some girls in their 20's here I don't find that attractive, so there you go... if people don't like who I am I don't lose sleep over it... it's a game as for as I'm concerned and I am honest within the other aspects of my profile.

Shame on you!! There are people here who are really looking and dont think it is a game!!!!!! I started talking to a guy and he said he was 45 good round number. I talked with him for about two months before he told me he was 54. I decided that we had been getting along so well I would forget about it. Then we met. There was no attraction at all was like seeing and old friend. It is not right!!! If you cant tell the truth in the first place then you probly lie about alot of things!!!

I never lie about my age, I WANT people to know how old I really am. And there have been some very beautiful women on here, I must say.

I'm really looking, but I still think it's a game.
It's also a breeding ground for rejection... ignored winks, ignored messages
Can't take it too seriously.

As for there being no attraction when meeting, I would think that would be quite common and age has nothing to do with it. Body language, eye contact are so very important in human interaction.

Another thing, I'm sure a lot of people lie about other things on their profile... and try and present themselves in a better light - that's if they've even bothered to fill it out :P

I don't lie about any aspect of my life/personality on here. What would that get me if I DID find someone?

I understand some people not wanting to disclose their age, but that's their choice and they'll have to deal with the issues it brings.

Besides, I'm not smart enough to keep up the lie :D
