One of the gentelmen on the first page was correct. It is our culture. I am a professional. At work I can not have dark circles, wrinkled clothing or gray hairs. While those features are acceptable for men, it is proven they are considered in promotions for women. In our culture there are many single fend for yourself women.

We shave, we pluck, we ware make up, dye our hair and we are successful. I'm not going to say its everywhere. But it is my neck of the woods. At home, I am blue jeans and sweat shirts. No makeup and good to go.

I was dating a guy that liked the idea that I took the time to shave, lotion, smell and look nice.

Be careful what you ask for.

I have turned down jobs because of the exceptions put on my physical being (for a start) as a woman.

My photo has me wearing mascara and some bronzer (which I thought would help with the lighting which was just "whiting" out my features)

Same here. In my photo, mascara and blush. I like to play with it as well.

I like to try to look pretty weather natural or made up. Mostly, from what I hear when I ware make up, no one thinks so. Yes, some people can be over done.

I went to a transvestite seminar in college (curiousity killed the cat) Those men were the most beautiful women I had ever seen. Glamourous! For real! I guess because I am a woman I dont put as much effort into it.

BUT GUYS. Thats what we see it as, we are putting effort into our appearence.

Going out to the clubs and seeing all the girls with their makeup smothered on like a mask is so unappealing and disgusting. Most of them are really inactive so when you go to the bathroom you seem them all in there and they always look to see who's coming in and their makeup is running down their face and it's gone all gross.
So fucking manky.
I don't understand the need for makeup that is thick enough that it looks like you could scratch your name into it.
Even just a little foundation pisses me off. I can tolerate that plus a little mascara but nothing else.
No lipstick or blush or eyeshadow. No thank you.

I dislike wearing makeup and only do it for special events, job interviews or gigs. I am only wearing makeup in the photo where I am singing. I feel that makeup is bad for your skin.

I do always put moisturizer and sunscreen on.... And never sunbake.

I dont see the oint in girls plastering it on either because one they moan of spots then the put loads of make up on then it makes there spots worse n then yeh they put ever more on the cover them really just go natural guys like it better, i only put mascara , eye shadow and lip gloss on when I go out. And the girls who put loads of make up on look disgusting. You got to live what you look like so get used to it and stop puting make up on love what you have. Its like personalities you wouldnt change that for someone so dont change the way you look.
