Flowers or Chocolate on first date?
Okay here it goes.
I'm still new in the flowers and chocolates giving game.
Say I only have enough money to buy her either flowers or chocolates. Which would be my best options A or B? Does it matter the cost of the present? (some girls out there only want the best
)

Re: Flowers or Chocolate on first date?
chocolates make me fat
and flowers die
I prefer the guy does something unexpected. Not necessarily a gift at the beginning of the date. Get to know me a little through out the date and while "out on the town" if you see something that reminds you of something I said earlier then surprise me with it.
If I had to choose though it would be flowers, but there again not the typical rose. Make it different so you catch that person off guard and show you put some thought into it.

We are not all made the same, just you you guys arent. We each have our own heart and thats what your trying to get to know by dating. Which is why I say dont bring anything at the start but give a surprise later. I agree though, cause we are different, you will come across those (like my friend) who want not only that red rose (actually in her case I think its a blue tipped rose) but a specific kind of chocolate too. You should know a little about the girl before the 1st date so you should have some idea of whats she is expecting before you meet. Women are just as confusing as MEN and we will never figure out what the oposite sex really wants
All we can do is try to get to know the 1 we are interested in at the time, and not hold that persons "wrong doings" against the next.

There should be no expectation of a gift on the first date. It is quite an old fashioned gesture for the male to bring flowers. But in todays dating world and with all things being equal does a man expect a gift? I've been wooed by many and what a woman really wants is for you to be yourself. You don't have to be showy and shower a woman with gifts in the early stages. Later on in the relationship after your have sealed the deal those thinks stop and the woman is left wondering........hmmmm

Lauren, I 100% agree....dont see the point in either!

I agree that pgifts dont need to be bought on a first date....but if you REALLY felt the need, get something useful or practical?!
A lightbulb?!
A Dishcloth?!
Oh!! Here's a good one......gardening gloves! (I could do with a pair of them at the moment!!)

A dish cloth
You seem an easy person to please Jilly, I'd a thought that would result in an instant slap
