I agree with Ty. When I go on a date and I find the lady attractive, of course I want sex! Is there anything wrong with that? Women should feel flattered for guys wanting to have sex with them.

Now, I agree some men do go over the top; they almost want a guarantee that a date will end up in having sex or else they don't want the date. I'm not saying I must have sex with the women I date from the very first time we meet and I'm not saying that there's nothing else on my mind. Dates can be great despite not ending up between the sheets.

But on if the other hand I'm arranging a date with a woman and puts up the condition that there will be no sex on this first date then I will decline, no matter what people think of me. To me this is like phoning a restaurant to book a diner table and someone telling you in advance what dishes of the menu you can't have!

I may sound weird for a man, but I want the "all the other" stuff first too. Sex is only good when it is heartfelt and meaningful to both parties. Don't fool yourself if you think sex can build a relationship from the start. You have to build the relationship before sex !! You have wasted dreams if you don't.

There are some, . . . nay, many . . . of us women who LOVE "weird, for a man". If you truly do want all the other stuff first, then you truly are weird. And if you truly are weird, I want to get to know you!

I have to wonder why most men don't get this about women. We tell ya all the time! Get a clue, ya'll! It's certainly not that we are disinterested in sex. It's that we have to know, and trust, before sex with someone is good. Period. (Well, I should refrain from speaking for all women. I speak for myself, and most of my friends I've talked with about this subject.)

It is not a FACT that all men are primarily looking for sex. Kemiga and Kevin say it well - there are some of us who don't care about the sex until we know the person. What you say about knowing and trusting is equally important to at least some guys. The bummer about having this attitude and being a guy is that women don't seem to respect that. The guys that just want to get down a woman's pants seem to be way more successful.

I've got to disagree with that, the vast majority of the women I can truly call friends aren't impressed by the players at all and do respect those that aren't. I also think if your primary objective is to get into a woman's pants it would kind of go without saying that your success at it is going to be greater than the guy that isn't making it his primary goal. If you measure success by quality, not quantity then I'd have to disagree on that point as well.
