I can't imagine that sex is give and take. It is too intimate for anything other than sharing. Maybe I took that too literally, but I won't simplify the coolest part of a normal relationship.
Now, for relationships that aren't normal... :?:)

Sex is a great thing with the right person and lets face it you need to be with someone a few times before you really relax and start to really find out what each other tottally enjoy.
onenight stands I have never done so i cant comment on them
fuck budies can be good because you can keep your independance but have your sexual partner as well and if you have worked it out right and neither of you are having sex with other people you can tottally relax and enjoy it the same as a commited relationship.
But i do believe that if you can not get in sinc with your partner sexually than your relationship is in trouble whether its sex once a day, week month or year you need to be in sinc with your partner and learn to enjoy each others wants desires and needs in the bedroom or what ever room takes your fancy at the time

Oh boy! I know the answer! Normal is, umm, is, not crazy! :?

Okay, you want to know how to define crazy, right?
That one is less difficult: Crazy is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting a different result. :geek:

Sex is sex. can be had without emotional attachment if that is your thing. Making love is vital to a relationship. it is the non verbal connection between the people in the relationship that helps cement the relationship together. But making love isnt always intercourse. it is holding hands or cuddling or making eye contact over a cup of coffee. the sparks fly, the connection becomes intensified and reinforced. :Da relationship with out the physical component is a friendship and nothing more.

I disagree somewhat. There's always some emotional attachment when two people have sex (regardless of what both claim at the beginning) That's what usually causes problems, one being more emotionally invested in the relationship than the other.
Intimacy is totally different, and intimacy is possible even with friends. I have male friends that I hold hands with, cuddle with and kiss. All relationships have some physical aspect to them, even if it's only a hug when you meet and one when you part.
No making love is a euphemism for sex.
